Introduction
Background |
Hello,
I'm Joey Lemonhead, and I was born on the 4th of July, 1995. My native
land is Australia,
but my parents migrated to America before I was born. I love America,
and I love my adopted mother, Carole. She has a B.A. in Journalism,
and an M.A. in Library Science, both from the University
of South Carolina. She taught me to speak English and now I talk
all day long! I also know how to whistle and do bird calls too.

I can repeat the calls of the Bob White, Crow, Blue Jay, Whippoorwill,
White Throated Sparrow, and Chickadee. One of my favorite phrases is "Do
you want some liver pudding and a buttermilk biscuit?"
Other favorites are:
| Got to go to school! |
Will you be good? I'll be good! |
| Be quiet! I'm talking! |
Do you want a talking bowl? |
| I love you so good! |
Will you be my Valentine? |
| Do you want a strawberry? |
Do you want a tangerine? |
| Do you like corn? |
Do you want a pear? |
| What are you doing? |
Where are you going? |

| Career Goals |
My
mother wants to teach me to read, but I don't know about that! I love to
play cards, roll ping pong balls, walnuts, and radishes on the floor, and
play with my friend, Anjou. Even though she is just a big, green pear,
she is lots of fun. My mom saves all my loose feathers and turns them into
fishing flies. |

|
| Favorite Pastimes |
Back at the farm, I like talking to the other birds in the forest and watching
the deer. I have a wonderful life in America and I wouldn't live anywhere
else on earth. Australia is fine, but it can't compete with my new
home. Buy a parakeet today and teach him to talk. Then
give him a treat. Take him for long rides in
the country to enjoy the scenery and the fresh air.

| About My Mama |
My mama saves all my loose feathers and turns them into fishing flies.
Her favorite hobbies are fly
fishing, origami,
calligraphy,
and growing orchids.
She is a great gardener. One spring she entered a tomato growing contest
and grew the first tomatoes in three counties! To see our orchid
