AUGUSTA SKI AND OUTING CLUB

The Augusta Ski and Outing Club (ASOC) is made up of people who enjoy snow skiing, boating, camping, cycling and other types of outdoor recreation. We welcome those who want to learn the skills in each sport, or just want to socialize with other Club members in an enjoyable atmosphere.

FIRST Tuesday of the month meetings, are held as combined meeting / socials., starting at 6:30 p.m.. Most meetings will be held at the Cotton Patch restaurant. November, however, sees our combined Ski Fashion Show, with Neptune Dive & Ski, on a different day of the month. This is our most special meeting. .

Social outings are held at various restaurants and pubs around the Augusta and Aiken area, usually on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

ASOC members are automatically members of the Crescent Ski Council (CSC) , which serves its members through twenty-three associate clubs in the Southeast. This affiliation results in the ASOC members having a wide choice of discounted trips, competitive ski racing events and a Spring Beach Convention weekend. The ASOC sponsors and actively participates in these events.

If you are thinking of becoming a member, here are some good reasons to join:

• Socialize and meet other skiing and outdoor enthusiasts.
• Receive Group rates on Club- and CSC-sponsored trips.
• Receive tips on skiing, biking, and other outdoor activities, on trips and purchasing of equipment and clothing.
• Besides skiing, participate in beach trips, white water rafting, water skiing, biking, camping, swimming, lake parties, BBQs, picnics, parties of all kinds, volleyball, roller skating, bowling and parades.
• Share expenses with other members on your ski and outing trips.
• Get involved in competition-- join our SKI RACING TEAM.
• Receive a monthly newsletter, the EXTRA!, announcing special events, outings and trips.
• Attend ski resorts' presentations and win prizes they offer.
• Be entertained by fashion shows, movies, parties, etc.
• Be aware of the latest in the ski world.
